무슨 일을 해도 세상사람과는 달리, 더 열심히 , 더 많은 사랑으로 충성스럽게 할 수 있는 분들....
해외에 선교사로 나가기 전에 지역사회에서 먼저 선교사역을 위해 훈련과 준비가 필요한 분들....
우리 교회에서 많은 분들이 아래 일들을 잘 했으면 좋겠습니다...

County Executive Isiah Leggett is committed to representation on all of the County’s boards, committees, and commissions that is reflective of, and responsive to, our County’s residents. Public participation contributes to the work of County government and provides an important service to the community when a variety of issues, concerns, and viewpoints are presented. Currently, there is a valuable opportunity to serve on the following:

Applicants of diverse backgrounds, professions, gender, geography, disability and ethnicity are encouraged to apply. Members of County boards, committees and commissions may not serve on more than one such group at a time. Applications of those selected for appointment are made public as part of the confirmation process.

Leggett Seeks Applicants for Committee for Ethnic Affairs
County Executive Isiah Leggett is seeking applicants to fill 10 vacancies on the Committee for Ethnic Affairs.
The 26-member Committee serves as an advisory group to the County Executive, County Council, and the Office of Community Partnerships about ethnic affairs. Specific objectives of the Committee are to create a forum for all ethnic groups in the County, to help integrate diverse communities in the County, to identify existing and potential problems and possible solutions, and to promote maximum involvement of all residents in the County’s government, business and community affairs.
Committee members serve three-year terms without compensation, but are eligible for reimbursement for travel and dependent care for meetings attended. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM in Rockville.

Leggett Seeks Applicants for Committee on Hate/Violence
County Executive Isiah Leggett is seeking applicants to fill four vacancies on the Committee on Hate/Violence. Members must be County residents.
The Committee consists of 15 voting members who are County residents, and six ex-officio, non-voting members from government agencies, including Montgomery County Public Schools and Montgomery College. The voting members reflect the geographic, economic, and social diversity of the County, with at least nine members identified with target groups frequently victimized by hate/violence. At least two members are parents of school-age children and at least one member represents the business community.
The Committee develops and distributes information about hate/violence in the county and promotes the positive value of ethnic and social diversity. The Committee advises the County Executive, County Council, and County agencies about hate/violence in the county, and recommends policies, programs, legislation, or regulations to help reduce the incidence of such acts.
Members serve three-year terms without compensation, but are eligible for reimbursement for travel and dependent care for meetings attended. Meetings are held the second Wednesday evening of the month at 7:00 PM in Rockville.

Leggett Seeks Applicants for Commission on Juvenile Justice
County Executive Isiah Leggett is seeking applicants to fill 10 vacancies on the Commission on Juvenile Justice.
The 36-member Commission monitors the juvenile justice system and advises the County Executive, County Council and Juvenile Court on matters concerning juveniles. It is responsible for keeping both legislators and citizens informed about juvenile needs. The Commission is also responsible for promoting the general welfare of juveniles under the jurisdiction of the court; making budget recommendations affecting juvenile justice programs; and making periodic visits to State facilities that serve County juveniles.
Members serve three-year terms without compensation, but are eligible for reimbursement for travel and dependent care for meetings attended. Meetings are held the third Tuesday evening of each month at the Council Office Building in Rockville.

Leggett Seeks Applicants for Library Board
County Executive Isiah Leggett is seeking applicants to fill three vacancies on the Library Board.
The 12-member Advisory Board gives community input to the County Executive on matters affecting the public library system.
Members serve three year terms without compensation, but are eligible for reimbursement for travel and dependent care for meetings attended. Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM in the Department of Public Libraries, Administrative Offices, on the third floor of the Rockville Memorial Library located at 21 Maryland Avenue, Suite 310, Rockville. Each Board member serves as liaison to assigned Library Advisory Committees, which may involve additional meetings each month.

Leggett Seeks Applicants for Mid-County Citizens Advisory Board
County Executive Isiah Leggett is seeking applicants to fill three vacancies on the Mid-County Citizens Advisory Board.
The Board is comprised of 15 residents and businesses from the following areas: Upper Rock Creek, Wheaton, Kensington, Kemp Mill, Aspen Hill, Glenmont, Norbeck, Forest Glen, Olney, Brookeville, and Sandy Spring. The Board serves as a liaison between the community, the County Executive, County Council, and County government departments by identifying community concerns and recommending possible solutions. It also advises the Director of the Mid-County Services Center on transportation, economic development, housing, education, human services, environment, recreation, public safety and other issues of importance to the area.
Members serve three-year terms without compensation, but are eligible for reimbursement for travel and dependent care for meetings attended. Meetings are usually held the third Tuesday evening of each month at the Mid-County Services Center, 2424 Reedie Drive, Wheaton.

Leggett Seeks Applicants for Noise Control Advisory Board
County Executive Isiah Leggett is seeking applicants to fill one vacancy on the Noise Control Advisory Board.
The eleven-member board must advise the County Executive, County Council, and the Director of the Department of Environmental Protection on noise control issues. The Board reviews and makes recommendations on the effectiveness of the County’s noise control rules and regulations.
Members serve three-year terms without compensation, but are eligible for reimbursement for travel and dependent care for meetings attended. Meetings are held the second Monday of every month at 7:00 PM in Rockville. Members are required to review related materials prior to meetings.

Leggett Seeks Applicants for Sign Review Board
County Executive Isiah Leggett is seeking applicants to fill two vacancies on the Sign Review Board, for a public representative and an architect licensed in Maryland. All members must be Montgomery County residents.
The five-member Board reviews variance applications and grants variances from the sign regulations of the Montgomery County Code. At least one member of the Board must be an architect licensed to practice architecture in the State and at least one member must be a business person operating a business in the County.
Members serve three-year terms without compensation, but are eligible for reimbursement for travel and dependent care for meetings attended. Meetings are usually held once a month on Thursday mornings at 8:30 AM in Rockville. Members are required to file a confidential financial disclosure statement within 15 days of Council confirmation and each annual period thereafter.

Leggett Seeks Applicants for Workforce Investment Board
County Executive Isiah Leggett is seeking applicants to fill eight vacancies on the Montgomery County Workforce Investment Board. The vacancies are for seven business representatives, and one community-based organization representative.
The Workforce Investment Board advises the County Executive on the administration of the federal Workforce Investment Act of 1998 and oversees workforce development programs and services serving more than 14,000 residents per year.
The Workforce Investment Board is composed of 30 members. Sixteen members are representatives of businesses who are business owners, chief executives, or other business executives or employers with optimal policymaking or hiring authority, and represent businesses with a workforce that reflects employment opportunities in Montgomery County; three members represent community-based organizations, including those that provide services to people with disabilities and other human service organizations; and two members who are representatives of organized labor. Other members include a representative of Montgomery County Public Schools, Montgomery College, a four-year educational institution of higher learning; Maryland Division of Rehabilitation Services, the Housing Opportunities Commission, Department of Health and Human Services, the Maryland and Montgomery County Departments of Economic Development; an agency administering Title V of the Older Americans Act, and the Maryland Job Service.
Members serve three-year terms without compensation, but are eligible for reimbursement for travel and dependent care for meetings attended. Meetings are held quarterly on Wednesday mornings. Members are expected to serve on at least one committee or work group that meets approximately once every month.
