하나님의 형상을 따라 창조된 인간

창1:26-28

 

· 예수님이 가르쳐 주시는 전쟁에서 이기는 법은 ‘지기 지피가 백전 불태’이다. 적을 알기 전에 먼저 내가 얼마나 놀라운 능력과 은혜가운데 사는 자인 것을 알아야 사탄과의 싸움에서 이긴다는 말이다. 눈 앞에 펼쳐진 문제들을 먼저 들여다 보고 있으면 해답을 찾아내는 것이 아니라 싸우기도 전에 기가 질린다.

 

   1) 성경에서는 하나님께서 온 우주와 인간을 창조하셨다고 말씀한다. 

· ‘Bib Bang Theory’ 는 150억년 전 고도로 응집된 어떤 물체가 한 순간 폭발하여 오늘날의 우주가 만들어졌다는 이론이다. 또한1859년 다윈이 ‘종의 기원’이라는 책에서 주장하면서 부터 시작된 진화론도 결국 물질의 존재를 전제하고 시작하는 것이다. 

· 결국 모든 물질의 근원을 따져가면 무에서 유로의 창조로 귀결될 수 밖에 없다. 그런 의미에서 창세기는 우주와 인간의 기원에 대해 정확하게 대답하고 있다. 우주 만물의 기원은 영적 존재이신 하나님이라는 것이다.(창1:1)    *하나님(엘로힘)=두려워 해야 할 강하고 능력있는 자

· 구약 성경에는 '창조하다'란 뜻의 단어가 세 종류 나온다. 창1:1에서 사용된 '바라'는 무에서 유에로의  새로운 창조 행위를 가리키는 것이다. 창1:26에서 사용된 ‘아사'는 이미 창조된 물질을 재료로 더 나은 물체를 만드는 것이다. 창2:7에서 쓰인 '야찰'은 특별한 목적에 따라 기존 사물을 새롭게 하는 것이다.

 

2) 하나님께서 인간을 창조하실 때는 특별한 방법으로 창조하셨다. 

· 하나님께서 인간을 창조하실 때는 ‘생기’를 불어 넣어 주셨다.(창2:7) 이것은 하나님께서 자신의 형상을 따라 창조하셨다는 것을 말한다.    *'형상(첼렘)’ = 하나님의 성품을 가진 자로 지음 받았다는 것

· 하나님께서 창조하신 인간과 함께 공유하시는 속성을 ‘공유적 속성(共有的 屬性)’이라고 한다. 한가지 주의해야 할 것은 하나님이 공유적 속성을 사람 안에 두실 때에 ‘절대 의존’ 관계를 전제로 하신다는 것이다. 공유적 속성이 인간들에게 나타나려면 하나님께 전적 순종, 전적 의존 관계가 필요하다는 말이다. 

2-1) 하나님은 영적(靈的) 속성을 인간과 공유하신다. 

· 하나님은 세상의 어떤 존재 에게도 공유하지 않으셨던 영을 인간에게는 허락하셨다. 따라서 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님의 형상을 회복한 성도들은 보이지 않는 하나님을 영적인 눈으로 볼 수 있게 되었고, 그분과 교통하는 가운데 그분께서 공급하시는 은혜들 가운데 거할 수 있게 되었다. 

2-2) 두번째는 지성적(知性的) 속성이다.

· 하나님은 지식의 대상이 될 수 있는 것들 모두에 대하여 과거, 현재, 미래에 대한 것을 완전하게 알고 계신다. 또한 하나님께서는 자신의 영광을 위하여 당신의 지식을 효과적으로 사용하실 수 있는 능력도 갖고 계신다. 다시 말하면 지혜의 하나님이시다. 

· 감사하게도 하나님은 그 지성적 속성을 오직 인간들에게만 허용하셨다. 그래서 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님의 형상을 회복한 그리스도인들은 이제 더 이상 자신의 한계적인 지혜와 능력으로 살지 않아도 되게 되었다.     *‘하나님의 대사’라는 책을 쓰신 김하중 대사

2-3) 세번째 도덕적(道德的) 속성이다. 

· 하나님의 거룩은 피조물과는 본질적으로 구별될 수밖에 없음을 말하는 위엄적 거룩과 죄와는 합치될 수 없으심을 말하는 윤리적 거룩을 갖고 계시다. 감사한 것은 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님의 형상을 회복한 성도들은 그 안에 도덕적인 삶을 살 수 있는 능력을 갖게 된다는 것이다.(갈5:6)    *마약 재활 센터

2-4) 네번째는 주권적(主權的) 속성이다. 

· 하나님은 우주의 조성자이시므로, 당신의 기쁘신 뜻에 따라 그 우주와 인간들을 다루실 수 있다.(단4:35) 실제로 하나님은 이 세상을 창조하셨을 뿐 아니라 당신의 뜻대로 이 세상을 이끌어가신다. 

· 놀라운 것은 주권적 속성을 우리에게도 허락하셨다는 것이다. 하나님을 대신하여 세상을 다스리도록 우리에게 주권을 허락하신 하나님으로 말미암아 우리는 믿음으로 악한 영들을 향하여 선포할 때 악한 영들을 다스릴 수 있게 되는 것이다.(마18:18,19)

 

3) 하나님께서 자신의 속성을 부여하신 이유는 자신을 대리해서 온 땅을 다스리도록 하기 위함이었다. 

· ‘문화 명령(culture mandate)’ 은 하나님을 대신하여 창조 세계를 하나님의 뜻에 따라 잘 관리해가라는 의미다. ‘    *’다스린다’ = ‘하나님께서 보여주셨던 사랑의 마음으로 창조 질서를 지켜가라’ 

· 오늘날 그리스도의 은혜를 입은 성도들은 타락한 세상의 문화를 다시 하나님의 나라의 문화로 바꾸어 가야 할 책임이 있다. 따라서 죄로 물든 이 세상 속에서 하나님의 통치가 이 땅에 이루어져 가게 하는 것이 그리스도인들에게 주어진 사명이다.

· 이것을 위해서는 세상의 것들, 혹은 내가 가지고 있는 모든 것이 하나님의 것이라는 사실을 잊지 않아야 한다. 우리는 잠시 그것들을 관리하는 책임만 맡고 있을 뿐이라는 것을 잊지 않아야 한다.

1) 하나님이 인간들과 공유한 속성이 그리스도로 말미암아 회복되었다는 것은 내가 어떤 존재가 되었다는 의미인지 말해보라. 

2) 문화 명령을 수행해야 할 책임이 있는 성도로서 나는 어떤 결단을 하게 되었는 지 나누어보라. 

Humans Created in the Image of God (Genesis 1:26–28)

 

· The way Jesus teaches us to win in spiritual warfare is: “Know yourself and know your enemy, and you will never be defeated.” Before understanding the enemy, we must first realize how amazingly powerful and gracious our lives are in Christ. If we focus only on the problems in front of us, we become discouraged before we even begin to fight.

 

1) The Bible says that God created the entire universe and humanity.

· The Big Bang Theory claims that about 15 billion years ago, a highly compressed object exploded in an instant and formed the universe as we know it today. Evolutionary theory, which began with Darwin's publication of On the Origin of Species in 1859, also assumes the pre-existence of matter.

· Ultimately, when we trace the origin of all things, it inevitably leads to creation ex nihilo—creation out of nothing. In this regard, the book of Genesis gives a clear answer about the origins of the universe and mankind: the origin is the spiritual being, God. (Genesis 1:1)

God (Elohim) = the powerful and mighty one who is to be feared

· In the Old Testament, there are three Hebrew words used for "create." The word bara used in Genesis 1:1 refers to the act of creating something out of nothing. The word asah used in Genesis 1:26 means forming something better from already existing materials. The word yatsar used in Genesis 2:7 implies reshaping something for a specific purpose.

 

2) God created humans in a special way.

· When God created humans, He breathed into them the “breath of life” (Genesis 2:7)—this means that humans were created in the image of God.  *Image(tselem) = made to bear God’s character and attributes

· The attributes that God shares with humanity are called communicable attributes. But one important point is that these attributes were given with the assumption of absolute dependence on God. In order for these attributes to be fully expressed in us, we must live in total obedience and dependence on Him.

2-1) God shares His spiritual nature with humans.

· God granted humans a spirit, which He did not give to any other creature. Therefore, believers who have recovered the image of God through Christ can see the invisible God with spiritual eyes, and dwell in His grace through communion with Him.

2-2) The second is the intellectual nature.

· God perfectly knows all things—past, present, and future—and He uses His knowledge effectively for His glory. In other words, He is the God of wisdom.

· Thankfully, God granted this intellectual nature to humans alone. As a result, Christians who have recovered the image of God through Christ no longer have to live by their limited human wisdom and strength.

2-3) The third is the moral nature.

· God’s holiness includes His majestic holiness, which distinguishes Him from all creation, and His ethical holiness, which means He cannot coexist with sin.

· Thankfully, through Christ, believers who have recovered God’s image are now able to live morally upright lives. (Galatians 5:6)

2-4) The fourth is the sovereign nature.

· As the Creator of the universe, God governs all things according to His good pleasure (Daniel 4:35). Not only did He create the world, but He also rules over it according to His will.

· God granted this sovereignty to us as well—so that we may rule the world on His behalf. Through faith, we can speak and declare authority over evil spirits and overcome them (Matthew 18:18–19).

 

3) God granted these attributes so that humans could rule the earth on His behalf.

· The cultural mandate means we are to manage the created world in alignment with God's will.

“To rule” = to maintain the order of creation with God’s heart of love.

· Believers who have received the grace of Christ are responsible for transforming the fallen cultures of the world into the culture of God’s kingdom. Thus, Christians are called to establish God’s reign even in this sin-stained world.

· To do this, we must never forget that everything we have—even the things of this world—ultimately belong to God. We are merely stewards, entrusted with managing them temporarily.
