The Posture of the Gospel Advancer
(Philippians 1:18-30)

 I. Rejoice! (v. 18)

 II. Know that God is sovereign (vv. 19-21)

 III. Consider ALL loss for the sake of knowing Christ (vv.21-23, 3:8-9)

 IV. Be intentional in your ministry (vv. 23-26)

 V. Live lives worthy of the gospel (vv. 27-30)
Fellowship with other believers
Without fear
Godly perspective on suffering

 VI. Application
What do you have to be thankful for and to rejoice about?   Share “praise reports” and give God honor for these things.
What does “to live is Christ and to die is gain” mean to you?
Do you consider ALL things loss for the sake of knowing Christ?  What areas do you need to surrender and submit to the Lord?  Ask God to reveal these things to you.
How are you partnering in the ministry?  Remember, Paul is speaking in this letter to all believers, not just the leaders of the church.  Are you being intentional or waiting for opportunities to come to you?
Paul emphasizes true fellowship with other believers.  How can we achieve this in our communities?
