Recently I've been ministering to a few women in the community. One young mother and friend, after years of interceding for her salvation, received Christ into her life this past Wednesday! She was so overjoyed that she asked me what she could do the very next day, so I told her to go to our chuch's EMP. After the service on Thursday morning, she thanked me for suggesting it because she was blown over and overflowing with the joy of her newly found salvation and the message and worship songs were so appropriate for her. She was crying with joy and praising God. I told God in prayer that even if my scoliosis was completely healed today, it would not compare to the joyful "high" feeling of my friend being saved.
Another dear lady in our community, who is a 6th generation Indian-Christian, asked for prayer intercession for herself and her husband in regards to regain their spiritual fervor and passion for God. On that Tuesday when we interceded I had told her about EMP, who then in turn told her husband, who then got up the very next morning on Ash Wednesday to go to EMP. Being the only Indian guy surrounded by Korean ahjumas in his row, I could only imagine what he was thinking. He brought home the breakfast he'd received and came home asking his kids "who wants a Korean breakfast?" The wife was pleasantly surprised. And he went even the next day. She has planned to attend today and the message today about Satan trying to knock us down, but choosing to get back up praising God was an awesome message for her. So I'm so happy, super happy that the 40-day-EMP is not only reaching our church members, but also people of this community!
Even though I cannot attend EMP physically, which is very disappointing ^.^, I am thankful that I can still join the worship every morning via live simulcasting. Being a mother of young children and wife to a busy pastor, it is great to be trained to get up early and to worship in my home. Practicing a habit of seeking God at the beginning of the day everyday is something that even the busiest moms can do...if there is a will there is a way. Today is my birthday and I feel God has given me the best birthday present ever by answering prayer after prayer!!! God is faithful and good to His promises!
