Dear Community Partners:
I am looking for an intern/volunteer for next year, preferably someone who can either commit to two semesters (spring and summer, or spring and fall), or someone who can work at least 20 hours a week (three full days), or both. It can be a college student or a community volunteer.
The County Executive's office has many projects and learning opportunities. The intern will be working with me and another senior manager and provide support (from research and public communication to administrative support) for several major economic development initiatives including a public private partnership to advance biohealth industries and for the County's Transit Task Force. Both projects are transformative and exciting opportunities for our County and for team working on them.
I appreciate your recommendations of good candiates--college grads looking to gain experience while job-searching, retirees looking to live a more fulfilling life, or current students who have a manageable course load would be ideal. The starting date would be after the New Year. Thank you.
