 I. The Joy Came After Much Work
Work was hard and demanding
It had failed before
But they never gave up
It took shorter than they had ever imagined
They had to sacrifice much

 II. The Joy Came When They Discovered the Law of God
They heard the Word (v. 3)
They understood the Word (v. 12)
They responded to the Word (vv. 9-10)

 III. The Joy Came When They Put Into Practice What They Discovered
“As it is written” (v. 15)
