One Condition Attached

 I. One Hour a Day
Hallowed be Your Name
Your Kingdom Come
Give us this Day
FORGIVE US OUR SINS

II. Receive God’s Forgiveness (vv. 1-3)
First pray that God will reveal your sin
Then declare 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
“To confess” means “to speak the same thing.”
We have to be holy to get deeper with God

 III. Pre-requisite: We Must Forgive
“Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar.  First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift” (Mt. 5:23-24)
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you” (Eph. 4:32)
“But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” (Mt. 5:44)
“I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing” (1 Tim. 2:8)
“And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins” (Mk. 11:25)
“Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers” (1 Pet. 3:7)
“In your anger do not sin. Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold” (Eph. 4:26-27)

 IV. Application
One of the most often experienced hindrances in our prayer life is “unresolved relationship.”  Therefore, we must confront it daily.
We must be “clean” in order to receive answers to our prayer.  Therefore, we must always be diligent in confessing our sins and seeking God’s forgiveness.
What have you learned about “Your Kingdom Come” prayer instead of “My kingdom come” prayer?
