“Advent—(3) The Savior”
Isaiah 60:1-3; 62:6-12

 

 I. Do Not Rest and Do Not Give Him Any Rest Until the Savior Comes
(Is. 62:6-7): Longing

 II. Prepare the Way: Expectation
Build up the highway
Remove the stones
Raise a banner for the nations

 III. The Savior Comes: Joy
The reward comes with Him
The recompense also comes with Him

We will be called, “Holy People, the Redeemed of the Lord, Sought After, and the City No Longer Deserted.”

 IV. Therefore, Arise! (Is. 60:1-3): Response
Your light has come
The glory of the Lord is upon you

 V. Application
In contrast to His first coming, how different will Jesus’ second coming be?
Are we better prepared now for His second coming than they were at His first coming?
As you watch the world turns these days what are you sensing God is saying to our generation?
